What's on the Bottle: "Live Wire rocks intense hop aroma and flavor followed by a crisp bitterness that strikes the taste buds with each sip. This distinctive IPA is amber in color with a slight haze and a long-lasting off-white head. It features quality malts that add a proper biscuit-like balance and complexity. Unfiltered and dry-hopped with a heavy dose of hops, Liv Wire boasts a citrusy, fruity and floral hop aroma that will light up the senses in a shockingly refreshing way."

What's on the Website: "Live Wire is our American IPA. It is a juicy beer with classic hoppy bitterness and a little malt sweetness to round out the flavor and finish. Be careful with this one, it is shockingly refreshing." Read more here!

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Pours clear golden into a cup. Frothy off-white head. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Sweet-malty, tropical, fruity (almost berry like), perhaps stone fruit. 4.25/5

Taste (40%): Predominantly sweet-malty, hoppy, slightly bitter, tropical citrus on the back end. Good flavor. 4/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. 4/5

Overall (20%): A solid IPA. I liked the bitter zip I got with each sip. Perhaps not as easy drinking as Dark Horse, but I enjoyed the tropical citrus aftertaste this one brought. Another wonderful IPA from the Midwest. 4/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.075/5
